This is where our Festival Nannies come in. Trained, vetted and experienced they are available from Thursday 22 to Sunday 25 June inclusive and are able to work with children of all ages from newborn upwards.
About Our Festival Nannies
We handpick our team of Festival Nannies to ensure we have the best team onsite. All of our Festival Nannies have:
lots of experience, worked with us before OR completed our Junior Nanny Training Course (OR all three!)
an in date Enhanced DBS (criminal record check)
a current 12 hour paediatric first aid certificate
Our staffing team allocate our Festival Nannies to each booking depending on their experience and the ages of the child(ren) in the booking.
About Freckles
Simply put, we are the Festival Nanny company. And we have one objective… to ensure our families (that’s parents and kids) have the best time possible.
At all festivals we have a tent jam packed filled with toys, arts & crafts, blankets, teddies, games, fancy dress and so much more. It’s a space:
for the children to hang out in
that feels familiar and safe
that allows them to relax and reset so that they’re ready to either go again or go to bed!
From artists to producers and single festival going families to large groups of friends we’ve done it all - to date there is no request we’ve not been able to handle. We have a huge breadth of specialisms within our Festival Nanny team and are able to work with all ages and all needs. From newborns through to teenagers and from Downs to Autism and feeding tubes to non verbal.
We’ve been working at Festivals since summer of 2019 and each year we are better than the year before. We constantly innovate and improve our service. Tweak our process to simplify it for our parents and adjust our hours and bespoke services so that we can make your festival, the best experience and Glastonbury will be no different.
The Festival Nanny Service
Our Festival Nanny service is specific to each festival. At Apple Tree Inn Glamping the key things are:

Nannies can meet & greet at the Glastonbury gates (meaning you don’t have to come back)

daytime (9am - 7pm): minimum of a 3 hour booking
evening (7pm onwards): minimum of a 4 hour booking
Where do they nanny?
At the Apple Tree Inn Glamping site
The nannies can meet and greet at the Glastonbury gates, meaning you don’t have to come back if there is an act you want to see but the kids need a break / bed / a little less stimulation…
We have a tent on site filled with toys, games, activities and home comforts where the children can play, relax and enjoy a bit of time out from the festival
At your glamping tent or lair
Things to consider:
ratio of 1 nanny to 3 children, maximum of one child under the age of 2yrs (unless twins)
If the Festival Nanny is babysitting in the evening at your glamping area:
all children must be in the same tent / lair
the Festival Nanny must be inside in the tent / lair

Your booking will be confirmed on receipt of payment and you’ll be emailed a form to gather information regarding names / ages of the child(ren) and any additional information we may require for your booking(s).

If you have multiple private nanny bookings then we will do our best to ensure you have the same Festival Nanny for each booking.
Our Festival Nannies all hold DBS (criminal record checks) and paediatric first aid certificates. They have also passed our rigorous application process which includes 2 interviews. Many of them currently work for us or have previously worked for us in some capacity and the majority have completed our Junior Nanny Course training.
They have all also signed an NDA.
Unfortunately not yet (we are working on this). However, they are able to meet and greet at the gates to Glastonbury. Meaning you don't have to leave if there is something you want to see or do but the childnre need a break, bed, less stimulation.
It’s up to you but many parents give the Festival Nanny some cash or a card to use in order to get food or make purchases as needed.
We will do what we can to accommodate any changes to your booking but it ultimately depends on our Festival Nanny availability.
Yes absolutely. However it depends on our Festival Nanny availability - we envisage selling out. So, we do advise booking in advance!

“We (2 friends) booked a festival nanny for our children for Saturday night so we could go out and let our hari down! It was the best decision.
