Lesson 9 | SELF

SELF.

🙌 You are made up of billion cells
🙌 Each cell has 23 pairs of chromosomes
🙌 Each chromosome has 2 strands of DNA
🙌 There is only ONE YOU

It's week 9 of the #MakeYourBedChallenge, and it's all about SELF, and embracing the unique and epic individual that you are.

We are the most *important* thing within our world, because without us in it there is no us. There is no world for us to exist in, if we don't exist. exist.

In part 2 of this lesson I share a story about myself and the vow that I made when I was 11 years old. That vow goes:

"I, Jo Chavasse, vow never to try and be like Jo and to only ever be myself."

Some days that vow is SO FREAKING HARD to stick to, but I try. I give it my best shot and I do all I can to me because that is the me that needs to show up on this earth and in this life.

We need you just the way you are, just the way you were created. So don't ever dumb yourself down or shave off the edges. Show up in all your imperfect, messy and lovable glory.

Be the person who:

  • dances the craziest on the dance floor (that is absolutely ME!!!)

  • runs the marathon

  • does the DIY

  • chases the dream

  • learns to fly

  • swims the channel

  • leans into those that build you up and ditches the ones that bring you down

This Weeks Challenges

Challenge 1: Make Self-Care A Priority

You have to make self-care a priority, so that YOU can help others and put your unique incredibleness out into the world.

You are the glass of water and you want to be overflowing NOT emptying, but it's HARD.

So this weeks challenge is to brainstorm 20 ideas and ways that you can do self-care for you (remember what it looks like for you, might not be what it looks like for your friend). Then you need to pick 8 of them and schedule them in over the next 4 weeks. That is 2 self-care activities a week.

YOU CAN DO IT

Challenge 2: Who Am I?

Using the printable opposite, I want you to write down 30 positive attributes about yourself. Get clear on who you are and the amazing and incredibleness that you have to offer and step up into those things.

It's not always about building new habits. Sometimes it's about recognising what we already have and OWNING IT

You are your own incredible and unique individual. Don't you forget it.
